The five Norwegian guys who form Auden Prim are sure to take over the
music world if you are going to believe Gigwise magazine and
Mary-Anne Hobbs (Radio1); I really like this track! I listen to
hundreds of demos every week and this one clearly stands out!’
Mary Anne played 'Living Strong' on the Rock Show saying 'Believe
it or not, that is just a demo! Everybody thought the demo was so
spectacular, I think it's absolutely cracking! The band has also
featured on Kerrang Radio,
Radio City
and BBC Radio1 and in magazines such as NME, Fly Magazine
and Musicweek. 'The
Prims' have a little something extra and they are definitely on the
verge of invading our helpless country’
- Andy Day, Gigwise
Magazine. Having played many successful shows, toured both UK and
Norway, done stadiums and festivals in Norway, the guys are described
as
intriguing, beautiful, very listen-able amalgamation of some very
talented individuals; the wise lead singer, the ginger Viking warrior
bassist, the ABBA-fan synth-player
that is so
utterly engrossed in the vibes that he sometimes forget where he is,
the eye-catching crazy maniac guitarist and the rather normal
drummer…bless him.
The
Prims are: Kjell Ove Knutsen,
Tord Ø. Knudsen, Øyvind T. Jenssen, Thomas Haakonsen
& Audun Søgnen.

“The Prims” have a
little something extra and they are definitely on the verge of invading
our helpless country” - Andy Day, Gigwise Magazine, UK
“Not only are they musically tight,
they're just insatiably entertaining and the audience can't help but
get sucked in.”
Sarah Bauman, Resurrection and Panic! DJ, Liverpool Barfly
“They just grabbed their guitars
and toured down to the gig to knock out a few songs in front of an
extraordinary audience of Robbie Williams’ lawyer, myself, the
drummer from Simple Minds and many other famous music industry people.
They all kept touring down to the venue after having heard their brilliant
demo at the Sound Advice panel. An absolutely cracking performance!”
Mary Anne Hobbs, The Rock Show, BBC Radio 1

“Not often do you hear a local, Norwegian
import band that sounds American and British yet extremely Scandinavian
with a modern retro feel. Well, not very often do you hear a Norwegian
band form in Liverpool in the first place, and if you did, they would
probably only know three chords, look horrific or be bad songwriters.
Auden Prim seems to have more or less the whole package; 5 hairy guys
with colourful clothes and personalities who have a certain preference
for unstructured rock beats. These guys rock!”
Kaya Herstad, Northern Lights Club, Aurora Borealis Promotion
“It’s bit of a move uprooting
a whole band from Norway to Liverpool but five piece Auden Prim have
managed to pull it off and look and sound like they still mean it.
Their lead vocalist has an excellent strong voice which holds together
their well written indie rock – reminiscent of Mansun, Idlewild
or even a bit Muse-y. Auden Prim have the songs and a look that could
take them all the way to the top and with a demo as good as this and
mounting accolades from all and sundry expect to hear from them in
the not too distant future.”
Andy Day, Gigwise Magazine
Five-piece Auden Prim
recently issued their Pilot Of The Year EP. This
indie rock outfit from Norway have been making their mark on the
Liverpool scene, coming out of nowhere. With references to Idlewild
and Mansun, the boys are obviously serious about their intentions.
This is demonstrated by tracks like 'Pilots', Living Strong' and '2nd
Best'. The sound and production is spot on and the band, fronted by
singer Kjell Ove, prove to be a solid unit.
Stuart Todd, Gigwise Magazine
“Auden Prim are the talk of the town
right now”
Tea Rocks Music Week, Liverpool
“You need to book these guys now,
before it gets too expensive”
Stavanger Aftenblad, N
“Playing after Auden Prim was probably
not an easy job for the next band at the festival”
Sunnmorsposten, N
